The Alpha Course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions.
Sessions take place at either All Saints' Church or St Andrew's. We meet at 7.15 pm for an informal meal – a chance to get to know others in the group. There is then a talk on DVD which introduces a different aspect of the Christian faith each week. This is followed by a time of discussion where everyone is welcome to contribute their opinion and ask questions. Sessions end promptly at 9.30 pm. About half way through the course there is also an away day (on a Saturday) exploring aspects of the Holy Spirit.
Alpha is designed primarily for people who aren't churchgoers, but the course is open to everyone.
There is no charge for attending the Alpha course.
The next Alpha Course at St Andrew's begins on Tuesday 24 January. If you are interested in coming, it is helpful if you can let us know beforehand (for catering purposes). Please contact the Parish Office (01904 768006).
