7 steps to getting married in Huntington Parish
|
Seven steps to getting married in Huntington Parish STEP 1: Contact the Parish Office to request a booking form. We can send this to you by email. STEP 2: Complete the booking form and send it back to us. Before we can fix a date and time for your wedding, we have a legal duty to check that you can marry in the parish. It is usually straightforward and the form will make that process as quick and simple as possible. (You may need to send us some documents to back up your application - see 5 FAQs) STEP 3: We will confirm your booking and send you some information to help with planning your wedding.
STEP 4: We will be in touch to invite you to a Marriage Preparation Course, a five-week course designed to help engaged couples who want to give their marriage the best possible start. The sessions are practical, informative, and fun. We run the Marriage Preparation Course once a year. STEP 5: Contact us three months before your wedding so that we can put you in touch with the minister who will arrange to meet you to discuss the service in detail. STEP 6: If you do not live in the parish, contact your local church to arrange for your banns to be read (see 5 FAQs). STEP 7: Come to a rehearsal at the church – usually a day or two before your wedding day. |
