Kids Rock When: Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes during term time Where: New Earswick Primary School (Tuesdays) and Yearsley Grove Primary School (Wednesdays) These are fun, lunchtime clubs for children aged 7 - 11, run in association with YoYo (York Youth and Schools Trust). Each term a theme is followed, for example: parables; Paul; the people Jesus met. The sessions are a combination of games, songs, craft, stories, quizzes and 'power phrases'.
Rock Solid When: Friday lunchtimes during term time Where: M1 at Huntington School (Secondary) A fun, lunchtime club that is similar in format to Kids Rock, but aimed at 11 - 14 year-olds instead. Also run in association with YoYo, the sessions are a combination of games, songs, craft, stories, quizzes and 'power phrases'.
Soul Rock When: Monday lunchtimes during term time Where: Huntington School (Secondary) This is a club for Christians aged 14 - 18 within the school. It gives them the opportunity to spend time together; encourage one another; pray together; and plan ways to show God’s love to their peers. |
